COLAB hosts Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Voices roundtable with Mayor Levar Stoney
On June 28, 2023, COLAB hosted a small business roundtable as part of Goldman Sachs ‘10,000 Small Businesses Voices’ “Small Business. America’s Future.” policymaker series. Mayor Levar Stoney joined six local small businesses to discuss the challenges and opportunities that Richmond small businesses face.

It was an honor to host Mayor Stoney and fellow Richmond small business leaders here at COLAB. Small businesses drive the strength and success of our local economy, so it was an incredible opportunity to have an audience with the mayor to discuss the city’s economic development plans. Mayor Stoney engaged with each of us to understand the exciting future for Richmond businesses, from opportunities for growth to chances to learn from the past. I’m grateful that he took the time to visit COLAB and hear from small business constituents who make up the core of the Richmond community. I’m also appreciative of Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses for organizing the event today that brought together Richmond’s entrepreneurs for this important discussion.
The “Small Business. America’s Future.” policymaker series builds on prior years’ roundtable meetings with a focus on the future of small business in America and the increasingly urgent need to reauthorize and modernize the Small Business Administration for the first time in 23 years to address the small business challenges of today and tomorrow.
