Richmond-based digital agency and web design firm CO+LAB Multimedia has been selected as one of Goldman Sachs' "10,000 Small Businesses" to help create jobs and economic opportunity in the United States.

Since November 2009, Goldman Sachs has pledged a $500 million investment to help create jobs and economic opportunity in the United States. Their 10,000 Small Businesses program aims to unlock the growth potential of 10,000 independently-owned businesses across the United States by providing access to business education, mentors and networks, and financial capital.

"This is a learning opportunity not only to grow our company, but also to help grow our technology sector here in Richmond. I'm humbled and excited about this experience and how we can apply it at home," Eddie O’Leary, CO+LAB's president and founder, said.

O'Leary receives full tuition from the Goldman Sachs Foundation to participate in the program and complete coursework developed by Massachusetts' Babson College. Babson has been ranked number one in the United State for entrepreneurship for 17 years.

Since CO+LAB's inception in 2008, the design and development firm now has ten full-time employees, produces over 99 percent annual growth, and has been recognized as one of the 25 fastest growing companies in the region.

Participants receive management and entrepreneurship training as part of the program's educational component. Networking and mentoring opportunities are offered in partnership with national and local business organizations, as well as employees of Goldman Sachs.
